Bullshit!! You don't need to replace all those
parts unless it idles shitty or runs shitty. Christ
people are feeding you some bullshit. Just change
the main jet until it pulls the hardest and fastest
at full throttle. Then play with the needle height
to adjust midrange. If it bogs, it's too rich. If
it doesn't pull hard enough, it's too lean. Then
mess with the idle fuel mixture for idle. Mess with
the float height for cruising speeds. Most likely
you'll only have to change the main jet since that
affects all three speeds. Everybody is so scared
to try new things. The worst that could happen is
that you foul plugs (too rich) or you run too hot
(too lean). If the pipe gets gold or blue- it's
too lean and you need to richen it up. If the plug
fouls and has black sooty crap on it, it's too rich.
Don't be scared. It's no big deal to change a
main jet. I've changed mine probably 5 times to
find the right combination with various intake and
exhaust set-ups I've had which have all had diff-
erent requirements. Pilot jets are ONLY for idle
and low speeds. If it idles fine, you DON'T need
to change this. If you have to turn the mixture
screw out more then 4 turns to idle well, then you
DO need to change this (go bigger)
